Concept
The Inventory Aging Report is an analytical report that tracks the storage duration of inventory items, enabling businesses to assess warehouse management efficiency and categorize inventory based on aging periods (e.g., under 30 days, 30-60 days, 60-90 days, over 90 days). This provides managers with a comprehensive overview of the inventory status.
Purpose of the Inventory Aging Report
- Effective inventory control: Avoids excessive storage time that increases warehousing costs.
- Optimize cash flow: Reduces capital tied up in inventory, enhancing the company's financial flexibility.
- Reduce risks of spoilage and obsolescence: Particularly important for food, pharmaceuticals, electronics, etc.
- Develop sales strategies: Identifies which products need to be sold quickly and which can be retained.
- Support purchasing decisions: Based on actual data, prevents overstocking.
Key Features
The Stock Age Report module allows users to:
- Track product inventory aging by Period, Q'ty On Hand, and inventory Valuation for each cycle.
- Filter reports based on various criteria:
- Product, Product Category
- Warehouse, Location
- Period: Including Period Length and Number of periods to view in the report
- Company (for multi-company environments)
- Download the Stock Age Report in PDF and Excel formats.

Products receipt
First of all, you need to choose the right inventory flow to handle your receipts. Then, proceed to receive products.
View the Stock Age Report
During the inventory management process, if you want to view the stock age report, you navigate to Inventory > Reporting > Stock Age Report. The Viindoo ERP software provides the filters tool supports you to filter and group the information on the report by different criteria:
- Product: you can choose to view reports by a product category/product or view all.
- Warehouse and Location: you can choose to view reports in a warehouse/location or view all.
- Period: you can select the length of a period (how many days per period), the number of periods and enter the date you want the report to display up to that date.
After selecting the above criteria, you will see the number of products in the Q'ty On Hand column and the product value in the Valuation column following the selected criteria, corresponding to the stock age of the product.
Note: The stock age report only shows products with the product type is Consumable/Storable Product.
